East Cape

The East Cape has miles of undeveloped beaches and notably the “world’s aquarium” according to Jacques Cousteau and others. Preserved land and water keep residents conscious of self-sustainable living options on some of the most beautiful surfing and diving beaches.

East Cape areas

The northern part of the East Cape picks up from La Ribera’s paved road into Los Barriles, a charming fishing town with markets, banks, hotels, and restaurants.

The southern part of the East Cape region starts just east of San Jose del Cabo and the river bed known as the Río San José. Adjacent to the river are developing communities with infrastructure but just a few miles out and the paved road becomes access to an off-grid lifestyle.
