San José del Cabo
One of two cities that make up the municipality of Los Cabos and is 20-minutes from the international airport. This coastal residential town offers beachfront and golf course communities with a luxury marina and cultural downtown experience.
While Cabo San Lucas attracts many tourists, the county seat San José Del Cabo is known for its old traditions, architecture, fine dining, galleries, and boutique stores. This recently renovated, family-oriented town has no hustle-bustle feel. The downtown square has beautiful fountains, a charming gazebo and a restored Catholic church that was founded in 1730.
The residential neighborhoods in San José are clean and offer low-density areas. The Fonatur nine-hole golf course, owned by the Mayan Palace, has appealing, older hacienda homes and condominium developments, such as Alegranza and Cabo Del Mar, built around it. On one end of San Josee is tropical Palmilla Golf Resort and on the other is the newest marina and golf resort development, Puerto Los Cabos. Both include beachfront, ocean view home sites and condos.
