A short visit to the East Cape in 1994 made Gun’s husband, born and raised in CA, exclaim when looking at the coastline: “This is what CA was 50 years ago! We have to get something!”. With fury and fire, they proceeded to buy a very small oceanfront lot they have called home since 1998. Fast forward 20 years to 2018. Things have changed, but on the East Cape - peace, tranquility, and uncrowded beaches are yours to savor. Yes, prices have gone up, but they are lower on the East Cape than in Cabo San Lucas or San José del Cabo. A deal can still be found! Gun Bush was hired by Cabo Dream Homes because of her knowledge of the East Cape, literally her backyard. Fairly new in the business she is very proud to say that she has been the representative of a Seller or Buyer in 10 closings and one in escrow within the last year and a half! Being the general contractor during the construction of her own compound was on the spot training for off-grid living, for new methods of getting things done, and for improving her Spanish! This on-site experience comes in handy in the real estate business, whether buying an existing home or starting with a lot and building your dream home from scratch. She has the answers to - what is a palapero, how long does a palapa last, how much does a truckload of water cost, where can I find a good architect/builder, construction cost per ft2, etc. A degree in landscape architecture helps her better judge the potential of any property as well as advise as to what plants will survive the summer heat. Born in Sweden, she is still a Swedish citizen and her little cabin on the Baltic is the perfect place to visit in the summer - a stark contrast to the Baja desert. Having had close ties to Germany growing up, she is fluent in German as well as her native tongue, Swedish. Gun loves walking on the beach in front of her house, enjoying all the special amenities the East Cape has to offer: Clean white sand, crystal clear water, and abundant sea life.
