On the water
The Baja Peninsula is surrounded by sparkling seas. The sea is integrated into every facet of life here. Whales breach and spout off the shores, traveling in pods as their newborns feast on bountiful offerings. Seafaring vessels, be they sailboats, yachts, pangas or fishing boats, are accompanied under perpetual sunny skies, by dolphins, turtles, marlin and the other inhabitants of these rich waters.
Sports fishing and their spirited tournaments have long been a tradition in Los Cabos, where catch and release programs are encouraged. The big purse winnings at the annual Bisbee Tournament in October attracts anglers from across the globe. Both the Sea of Cortez and Pacific Ocean coasts, from Los Barriles to Todos Santos and beyond, support some of the world’s best fishing challenges. The Baja seas are so plentiful you’re guaranteed a catch when you reach!
